Greenhouse gases are responsible for global warming, therefore one of the main aims of environmental protection is to reduce emissions of these gases. As Hungary has also acceded to the Kyoto Protocol, many companies in our country must also have their carbon dioxide emissions verified by an independent body.
This is not only important for the protection of our environment, but the free-market trading of CO₂ allowances, as defined by international agreements, also presents a significant business opportunity for industrial companies.

It must be based on activity data. Historical activity levels (HAL) must be determined on the basis of the arithmetic mean of activities carried out during the base periods. The base period is the five calendar years preceding the deadline for the submission of data to the Commission pursuant to Article 11(1) of Directive 2003/87/EC.
The EU C/2018/8664 final Under the delegated regulation, the operator of the facility may submit an application for free distribution to the competent authority. The application 30 May 2019. before (with a maximum delay of one month) must be submitted for the first allocation period. Applications for free allocation must be accompanied, inter alia, by the documents required under the provisions adopted in accordance with Article 15 of Directive 2003/87/EC certified master data report.
The scope of our accredited partner’s EU ETS accreditation covers activity group 98, which is required for the verification of basic data reports (other activities as referred to in Article 10a of Directive 2003/87/EC). This is required by Article 34 of Commission Regulation (EU) No 600/2012 of 21 June 2012: „A verifier shall issue a verification report only to an operator or aircraft operator carrying out an activity falling within the scope of the activity referred to in Annex I for which the verifier has been accredited in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 765/2008and this Regulation.”
